Ayudha Puja (Astra Pujan) on Maha Navami
₹12,800
Description
Ayudha Puja, also called Astra Pujan, is one of the most sacred rituals performed on Maha Navami during Navratri. This puja has a unique significance—it is not just a worship of weapons and instruments, but a worship of energy, knowledge, and victory itself.
According to the scriptures, even the mighty Goddess Durga was able to defeat Mahishasura only when all the gods offered their divine weapons to her. This is why Ayudha Puja is a way of invoking Shakti in our own tools, instruments, and weapons—whether spiritual or worldly. It is said that by worshipping them, we align our energy with divine Shakti, so that our actions are guided by wisdom, power, and righteousness.
In the South of India, Ayudha Puja is widely celebrated as the ritual of worshipping weapons, tools, books, instruments, and even vehicles—because everything we use in life is a form of Devi’s power. On Maha Navami, Durga is worshipped as Mahishasura Mardini—the destroyer of negativity and ignorance.
